UK reverses Brexit rules for food and drink exports

UK food and drink businesses exporting to the EU will benefit from significantly less paperwork and fewer border delays. The government confirmed Brexit rules on meat, plants, and packaging exports will be removed from mid-2027. This change aims to help the estimated 16,000 companies that stopped exporting, with one firm reporting £250,000 in extra costs.
