UK 'ready to defend itself' after Iran says bases are 'legitimate targets'

Iran's foreign ministry called the UK an "accomplice" in the US war, saying British bases used by America are "legitimate targets". The UK permits the US to conduct "defensive" operations originating from its bases, including RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia. A UK government spokesperson said its armed forces are "ready 24/7 to defend itself" from any attacks.
