UK puts £150m into new underwater drones

The United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia are collaborating on the creation of advanced underwater drones intended to safeguard crucial subsea communication lines and enhance national security. Defence ministers from the three countries announced this project in Singapore, following criticism about slow progress in their Aukus pact. The United Kingdom is providing a £150 million contribution, and this novel system is projected to be operational sometime in the following year.
