UK Pubs Sell 5.5 Million Extra Pints During England World Cup Games

Pubs and bars across the UK have seen stronger trade as football supporters spend more during World Cup matches. England's three group fixtures produced an estimated 5.5 million extra pints of draught beer and cider, with figures released on Monday after Saturday's win over Panama. Saturday alone saw 8.6 million pints sold, about 1.1 million above usual levels.
