UK Passes Historic Law to End Youth Smoking

Young people born on or after 1 January 2009 in the UK will never legally be able to buy cigarettes, creating a smoke-free generation. The Tobacco and Vapes Bill has passed both the Commons and Lords and is awaiting Royal Assent. Ministers will gain powers to regulate tobacco and vaping products, including bans on vaping in cars with children and near schools.
