UK offers Chinooks for Cairngorms fire, denies water-bombing aid.

The UK government has withheld aerial water-bombing assistance sought by Scottish ministers to combat the Cairngorms wildfire. Instead, it offered military help, including Chinook helicopters and army personnel, to tackle the blaze. Scottish ministers had specifically asked for water-bombing aircraft to address the situation.
