UK, Met Office use AI for climate forecasts
A new partnership aims to improve global preparation for climate shocks, especially with a strong El Niño predicted for South-East Asia and Africa. The Foreign Office and Met Office are joining forces, using AI forecasting to predict weather patterns and help exposed countries. Initial work will focus on the Philippines, a nation at particular risk from extreme weather events.
