UK homes installed 269,000 new solar panels

Families across the UK could save up to £480 monthly on bills by generating their own power with rooftop solar. Government data shows 2025 was the strongest year on record for solar deployment, with installations completed every two minutes. A total of 269,000 installations were completed, and the cost of solar PV decreased by up to 9%.
