UK firms predict weakest growth since 2025: CBI

People and businesses could face a weaker economy as companies reported lower expectations for the months ahead. The Confederation of British Industry said on Monday its measure of expected output over the next three months fell to minus 28 from minus 24, covering manufacturing, retail and services. It was the lowest reading since December 2025, based on 848 companies surveyed between 26 May and 12 June.
