UK financial watchdog using Trump-linked tech company
The Financial Conduct Authority is working with Palantir to use AI for detecting financial crime, but critics worry this could give Trump's government access to sensitive UK data. The American technology corporation, whose establishment involved Peter Thiel, a vocal supporter of Trump, is currently undertaking a 12-week pilot program to evaluate fraud reports, consumer grievances, and social media communications. An MP has warned that US laws might force Palantir to hand over the data to American authorities.
