UK economy grew 0.4% in July driven by AI industry

The UK economy experienced 0.4% growth in July, surpassing predictions of no change and achieving its quickest yearly expansion since February 2025. The unexpected rise was partly driven by the artificial intelligence industry, which helped boost the services sector. The Office for National Statistics reported growth across services, production, and construction for the month.
