Martin Murray has quit as Reform UK leader of Staffordshire County Council, just seven months after formally taking the job. He gave no specific reason, saying only that he was leaving with a clear conscience. Deputy Hayley Coles takes over and is due to be confirmed in December. She becomes the fourth person to lead the Reform group since it won control in May 2025.
