UK denies Milei's arms talks claims

The British government has firmly rejected Argentina President Javier Milei's assertion that the countries are negotiating to lift weapons export restrictions imposed since the 1982 Falklands War. A Downing Street spokesman stated there are 'no specific talks' taking place, contradicting Milei's claims to The Daily Telegraph that negotiations were underway. The weapons ban prevents any arms containing British components from being sold to Argentina if they would enhance military capability, effectively blocking most Western arms sales since the conflict.
