The Metropolitan police took over the case after officers in Northern Ireland received a report on 13 October. A woman claims the politician invited her for dinner and a tour of the Commons before assaulting her in his party's offices. Scotland Yard says detectives are at the early stages of their inquiries and have made no arrests yet.
