UK consulate in East Jerusalem to stay open, says Miliband

The British consulate in East Jerusalem will remain open and operational, continuing to serve the Palestinian people. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband confirmed the former consulate general will stay independent, despite earlier Israeli orders for its closure.
