UK and India launch new ocean security centre
India and the UK are teaming up to make the Indian Ocean safer, helping countries there tackle non-traditional sea threats. Parties agreed upon a pact to establish a new, top-tier facility for advancing excellence in regional maritime security, during a conference held in New Delhi. The institution will be set up by King's College London and India's National Maritime Foundation, with an emphasis on instruction and information exchange.
