Half of UK drivers now consider buying a Chinese car

Almost half of UK drivers, 49%, would now consider purchasing a Chinese-manufactured vehicle next, representing the highest recorded level. This is a significant jump from 24% in the first half of 2023, driven by value for money and increased brand awareness. Carwow data indicates that enquiries for Chinese brands increased from 14% in H1 2025 to 30% in H1 2026, a rise of over 100%.
