Tube drivers walk out from midday today
Londoners are bracing for transport chaos from midday today as the RMT launches a 24-hour Tube strike. Union drivers rejected an offer for a voluntary four-day working week, arguing the plan would compress their hours unfairly. Transport for London warns the Piccadilly and Circle lines will run no service, with parts of the Central and Metropolitan lines also suspended until Friday lunchtime.
