Trump's global HIV funding cuts linked to thousands of staff layoffs

Donald Trump's funding cuts to the US anti-HIV programme, Pepfar, have caused "severe and devastating" disruption worldwide. More than half of organisations surveyed had at least one terminated award, leading to over 1,700 clinic closures and 16,000 full-time staff losing their jobs. Services for vulnerable groups, like gay or transgender people, were most likely to have stopped.
