Trump's FDA pick scrutinised over agency cuts and food poisoning outbreaks

Heidi Overton, Donald Trump's preferred candidate to head the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is under scrutiny after over 17,000 cases of cyclospora food poisoning this summer. FDA staff are concerned the White House aide will prioritise allegiance over restoring the organisation, which has experienced staff reductions.
