Trump's AI block threatens UK access to advanced tools

British access to advanced AI tools could stay limited if efforts to secure an exception fail. Downing Street has contacted US officials after Donald Trump blocked foreign use of Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5, but talks have brought little progress. Kanishka Narayan said sovereign AI capability matters, while Keir Starmer is expected to raise the issue at the G7 summit.
