Trump wants veterans to become truckers after 56,000 licenses revoked
The Trump administration has launched "Freedom Haulers", a campaign to incentivise military veterans to become truck drivers. The initiative follows the withdrawal of roughly 56,000 commercial driver's licences from immigrant drivers due to English language proficiency issues and improperly issued permits. Military veterans with heavy vehicle experience are exempt from the commercial driver's licence skills test, and GI Bill benefits can cover training expenses.
