Trump Vows to Sue BBC for Up to $5 Billion Despite Apology Over Speech Edit

President Donald Trump confirmed he will sue the BBC for between $1 billion and $5 billion over a Panorama documentary that edited his January 6, 2021 speech, making it appear he directly called for violence. The BBC apologized for the “error of judgement” which spliced together parts of the speech. The broadcaster argued the documentary didn’t air in the US. BBC’s top executives resigned over the controversy.
