Trump team warns Burnham: Miliband's energy stance could damage UK-US ties

Financial and energy policy could become a point of tension between Britain and the United States. Trump administration officials have warned Andy Burnham against choosing Ed Miliband as chancellor, arguing his opposition to new North Sea oil and gas licences would be damaging. Burnham hasn’t made a final decision, while Shabana Mahmood is also being considered for the role.
