Trump says Iran will be hit hard if he is assassinated

President Trump has claimed he left instructions for a massive strike on Iran if he is ever assassinated, in comments reported as Iranian crowds called for his death during Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral. He said any attack on his life would be met with a response like never seen before, echoing a similar warning he made in early 2025. Legal experts note a president cannot order military action after death, as all authority passes immediately to the vice president.
