Trump Plan Could Add New UK Tariffs
Higher costs for some goods traded with the United States could follow if the proposal goes ahead. Donald Trump’s administration put forward fresh import charges linked to findings that 60 economies had not done enough to stop trade involving forced labour, with the plan announced on 3 June. Britain is listed for an extra 10% rate, while public comments are being accepted until 6 July.
