Trump edges closer to new Iran strikes

Fears of a wider conflict grew as Washington examined possible military action while regional countries tried to calm tensions. Donald Trump met senior national security officials on the Iran war, with two US officials saying he's considering further strikes unless talks succeed. Pakistan and Qatar also sent mediators to Tehran, while Trump said the fighting could end soon.
