Trump defends Saudi Prince over Khashoggi killing

President Donald Trump welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the White House on Monday, defending him against questions about the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump downplayed the killing by stating 'things happen' and asserting 'he knew nothing about it,' which goes against U.S. intelligence assessments that the crown prince authorized the operation. When ABC News reporter Mary Bruce pressed about the killing, Trump angrily called her 'fake news' and said 'You don't have to embarrass our guest by asking a question like that.'
