The FTSE 100 share index finishes lower for a sixth day running

London's main stock market slid to its lowest point in over three weeks after businesses selling everyday goods took a hit. Brands making personal items and drinks saw their share prices drop by up to 2.7% when trading closed on Monday. Mining companies including Anglo American helped stop a steeper fall after the global values of copper and gold increased.
