The 'Father of Internet' is finally retiring
Vinton Cerf, co-creator of the internet's core communication rules, is stepping down next week from his role as Google's chief internet evangelist. The 83-year-old helped develop TCP/IP protocols in the 1970s, which allow computer networks to talk to each other. He predicts the rise of AI will push tech companies towards new standardised communication protocols.
