The Crown That Survived the Heist!

The Crown That Survived the Heist!

The Louvre has confirmed the restoration of Empress Eugénie’s crown after it was badly damaged during a daring jewel theft in October 2025. Although criminals escaped with €88 million worth of treasures, the crown was abandoned at the scene, crushed but largely intact. Conservators found all 56 emeralds still in place and only ten diamonds missing. Four suspects are now in custody, while the alleged ringleader and eight stolen artefacts remain untraced.
