Thames Water misses a legal deadline to value its £1bn pension scheme
The missed June deadline could trigger an inquiry by the Pensions Regulator, which the company warns might disrupt rescue plans. Bosses are already struggling to manage nearly £20bn in debt while trying to avoid a temporary state-run takeover. Executives recently confirmed the business will burn through its remaining financial reserves by the end of 2026.
