Thames Water: £20bn debt could mean collapse by 2027
The company said it has enough funding until the end of the year but warned there’s still major uncertainty unless it secures fresh financial backing. Thames Water, Britain’s biggest water supplier, is working with creditors, regulators and the government on a rescue plan to avoid temporary nationalisation. It serves about 16 million customers and is carrying roughly £20bn of debt.
