Tesla and SpaceX to build huge chip factory in Texas
The companies will invest $16.8 billion initially in the "Terafab" facility, which Elon Musk says will be the largest building on Earth. The facility is projected to encompass more than 100 million square feet for manufacturing and provide employment for a minimum of 3,000 individuals. The factory aims to produce advanced chips for Tesla's robots and self-driving cars, and for SpaceX's space-based data centres.
