Tesco strengthens grip on UK retail as market share climbs

Tesco now accounts for nearly a third of all UK grocery sales and over £1 in every £10 spent in retail, according to reports. The retailer has expanded its convenience and online presence, with 1,675 Tesco Express stores and 37% of the online grocery market. Data released this week shows Tesco’s sales growth outpacing rivals, reinforcing its dominant position.
