Starfall is a disk-shaped capsule about 10.2 feet wide that can bring 2,200 pounds of cargo back to Earth, according to a May assessment from the FAA, the US aviation regulator. SpaceX flew it on Tuesday as one of 32 payloads on a Falcon 9 from Florida, listed openly beside paying customers. It still hasn't said what is aboard or where it will land.
