Surrey police confirm no rape in Epsom case

Public disorder and protests followed a reported rape in Epsom, but police now say no offence occurred. Surrey police received the report on 11 April, but a thorough inquiry found the woman suffered an accidental head injury, causing a confused statement. Eggs and beer cans were thrown at officers during Monday's clashes, leading to four arrests.
