Studies find fasting not better than normal dieting for weight loss.
A major analysis looking at almost 2,000 people suggests restricting eating times offers no special advantage for shedding pounds compared to standard advice. Researchers examined data from 22 trials and discovered that intermittent fasting produced similar weight loss results to traditional calorie counting. While the practice might still benefit overall health, experts concluded it is not superior to regular dieting or doing nothing at all.
