StubHub fined close to £900,000 for hidden fees

More than 50,000 UK ticket buyers are set to receive automatic refunds after a watchdog ruled that mandatory charges were hidden until checkout. The Competition and Markets Authority found StubHub UK broke consumer law between April and December 2025 by not showing the full price upfront, a practice known as drip pricing. Total customer refunds amount to £590,000, averaging around £10 per transaction.
