Stripe buys AI platform OpenRouter for over $7 billion
The deal, completed on Monday, significantly boosts Stripe's presence in the growing market for artificial intelligence tools. OpenRouter offers a single point for businesses to access and compare more than 400 different AI models. The platform, which had 8 million users, was valued at $1.3 billion in May after raising $113 million.
