Strict rules threaten UK's booming alcohol-free beer sales
The UK's record-breaking sales of alcohol-free beer, with over 64 million pints expected this summer, are being held back by strict regulations. According to the British Beer and Pub Association, a trade organization, the existing definition for "alcohol-free" beverages, set at 0.05% alcohol by volume, is excessively low. They want the government to change it to 0.5% to match other countries and encourage more investment.
