Stonegate pub chain investigated over 'unfair' landlord treatment

Britain's largest pub company, Stonegate Group, is under investigation by the pubs code adjudicator (PCA) for potentially unfair treatment of its landlords. The investigation focuses on concerns like providing inaccurate repair information and incorrect rent calculations for over 3,000 leased pubs. Stonegate may incur a penalty exceeding £16 million should it be determined that the company violated the pubs code.
