Starmer offers Takaichi Chequers visit pending Feb 8 election win.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has extended an invitation to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to visit the UK’s official country residence, Chequers, contingent on her winning Japan’s upcoming election on February 8. The offer was made after a meeting during Starmer’s visit to Tokyo, which came after a four-day visit to China intended to bolster diplomatic and trade relations. The leaders discussed boosting cooperation on critical mineral supply chains and regional security.
