Starmer keeps minister after unauthorised column on immigration
Immigration policy could still change as ministers continue arguing over planned visa rules. Sir Keir Starmer rejected Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood's request to dismiss immigration minister Mike Tapp after he wrote an unauthorised newspaper column about Home Office policy. Tapp was reminded of his duties under the Ministerial Code and later said he'll keep working for the country.
