Starmer drops foie gras ban for EU deal
Food trade plans with the European Union could change under fresh negotiations. Sir Keir Starmer has given up a manifesto promise to stop foie gras imports as part of talks on a post-Brexit agreement, according to The Telegraph, published on 27 June 2026. It says the deal won't include a special exemption from Brussels rules covering imports.
