Starmer Could Face Tough Nato Talks After US Warning

Higher defence spending could affect future government budgets and plans. Keir Starmer is expected to face pressure at this week's Nato summit in Ankara after US ambassador Matt Whitaker said some alliance members weren't increasing defence spending quickly enough and should act sooner. Britain's plan adds £15bn, with spending reaching 2.7% of GDP by 2030 and a longer-term aim of 3% in the next parliament.
