Starmer: Burnham can win next election, citing 'changes already made'
People could see Labour continue in government if its next leader builds on recent work, Keir Starmer said. Speaking after announcing his resignation, he said Andy Burnham should be able to win the next general election because of changes already made during his time in office. Starmer also said he’ll remain an MP until the next election and won’t seek the NATO secretary general role.
