SpaceX plans to build its own mobile network to compete with US carriers
SpaceX aims to take many customers from T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon with a new terrestrial mobile network. The company plans to build ground-based base stations, potentially on Starlink dishes, using spectrum bought from EchoStar. Starlink Mobile will offer better connectivity than current cellular providers, according to CEO Elon Musk.
