SpaceX alumni raise $115 million for remote construction tech

A construction startup founded by two former SpaceX engineers has secured $115 million in new funding from investors including Kleiner Perkins and Bain Capital Ventures. TerraFirma employs Xbox controllers for the remote operation of construction machinery, with the goal of reducing industry costs and enhancing safety. The company plans to hire 300 people, build a Texas factory, and eventually wants to build on Mars.
