South East told to stop using hosepipes

Millions of people in London and the South East are being asked to stop using hosepipes during the current heatwave. Thames Water made the request after seeing demand for water jump by up to 50 per cent this week. They're urging everyone to use a watering can instead of hoses for gardens and paddling pools.
